Maker of Rocawear Juniors, Artful Dodger and Fetish Clothing Lines Forced into Chapter 7

Signature Apparel, the company that owns the rights to manufacture several major clothing lines, is being forced into a Chapter 7 bankruptcy by its creditors.

Reuters first reported the move late Friday, and details have yet to emerge.

According to their Web site, Signature Apparel “designs, develops, manufactures, and distributes branded apparel worldwide.”

Currently, the own the Feish trademark and are licensed to produce Rocawear Juniors and Artful Dodger.

RocaWear is the clothing label created by hip-hop star Jay-Z in 199. Similarly, the women’s clothing line Fetish is connected with rapper Eve. Artful Dodger is a recent line from the England’s Scott Langton.

Hitch & Trail Inc and Talful Ltd, both apparel manufacturers, filed the involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy papers in New York. They seek repayment of approximately $8 million in debts.
