Are you happy with your credit card?
How satisfied are you with your credit card? Does it help you manage your finances or is it a constant source of stress?
Just as American Express launched a new ad campaign encouraging their cardholders to spend less, JD Supra announced Amex won its annual credit card customer satisfaction survey.
The new credit card ad asks cardholders to “take charge” instead of chances, and encourages the use of credit over cash, according to Forbes.com.
While American Express hopes to build on its customer loyalty, Forbes says recent financial reports haven’t been so kind to the credit giant:
“AmEx’s second-quarter revenue, reported in late July, dropped 18 percent to $6.09 billion and profits plunged 48 percent.”
Still, JD Supra says customers love the card. You may know JD Supra from the car commercials that often show-off awards bestowed by the company, but they do surveys for other products, too.
The credit card satisfaction report measures seven areas:
- Overall satisfactions
- Fee
- Billing and payment process
- Rewards
- Product benefits and services
- Customer interaction
- Problem resolution
American Express came out tops in the survey, followed by Discover and National City.
However overall customer satisfaction for all cards was down to its lowest levels since the survey’s inception in 2007.
Captial One, Target Visa, WaMu, GE Money, Credit One Bank and First PREMIER Bank all finished with the lowest overall satisfaction scores.
These numbers don’t matter much, though, if you’re not happy with your credit card or if you’re struggling with credit card debt.
So: Are you happy with your credit card? If not, what are you going to do about it?
If credit card bills are out of control, then you may want to look into how filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy may eliminate your debt.
